iPad: 60 day countdown

Steve Jobs and Apple has enveiled information on its newest product earlier this morning (Wednesday), the iPad, to be available for sale world wide in 60 days. A few pictures and links are included below for further information from the professionals but I've included a short sparknotes list about the iPad in case you'd rather not go through the 1 hour and 33 minute keynote.

pros:

- 9.7'' LED backlit display, 0.5'' thick, weighing 1.5 lbs.

- up to 10 hours battery life

- HD videos

- eBooks

- all the functions of the iTouch including an address book, YouTube, WiFi, iPod (music), maps, calender, email, all 140,000 applications + iWorks, larger keyboard and more

- WiFi model available in 60 days

- WiFi + 3G model available in 90 days

- 250mb 3G costs $14.99/month

- unlimited file transfering 3G costs 29.99/ month

(comes unlocked and pre-paid straight through the iPad itself and may be cancelled at any time meaning NO mobile contracts)

- @ $499, $599, $699 for the 16gb, 32gb and 64gb, respectively

- 3G models at an additional $139

cons:

- no built in camera

- no flash support

- no 4.0 software update

- no Verizon... atleast not yet
